2. Selection Guide
1. Flat film substrates → choose corona
For BOPP, PET, PE films or paper, corona is the most cost-effective choice — low equipment cost, low energy consumption, high-speed in-line operation and stable results.
2. Complex 3D parts → choose plasma
For automotive interior parts, phone housings and medical devices, electrodes cannot contact uniformly. Low-temperature plasma jets flexibly treat any surface.
3. Large metal structures → choose flame
For large metal parts requiring fast treatment, flame is low-cost and fast, but temperature must be controlled to avoid damaging the material.
3. Cost & Maintenance
- Equipment cost: corona < flame < plasma
- Energy consumption: corona is the lowest
- Maintenance: corona needs periodic electrode replacement; plasma needs nozzle upkeep
